They say owning a dog makes you more attractive. In fact, in a study conducted by Dogs Trust, 60% of participants admitted they think people who own a dog are more attractive than non-dog owners.
This couldn't be more true for a couple from Bridgend who married recently after meeting at the Rehoming Centre in Wales, where they both work.
Sara and Nathan Rosser are now expecting their first baby and have four rescue dogs from Dogs Trust Bridged, all of who were involved in their wedding and even Nathan's proposal. Sara's beloved pooch actually gave her away on the day as her father sadly died before their big day.
Proof that you can really fall in love over the love of dogs.
“Our love of dogs was what brought me and Nathan together. They’re part of the family and I couldn’t imagine not having them there for our special day.” Sara and Nathan even took their pets on honeymoon with them after the wedding in the Brecon Beacons, south Wales, in September. The couple, who are now expecting a baby, met in 2013 when they were both working at Dogs Trust. After four months of dating they adopted their first dog from the centre. And Sara couldn’t believe it when Nathan proposed during a walk on the beach – with a little help from pet Paddy.
